Size guide

European children's brands size by height, with age given only as a guide. Measuring your child and comparing with the tables below is the most reliable approach.

How to measure

For clothing, measure your child's height barefoot against a wall, from the top of the head to the floor.

For shoes, stand your child on a sheet of paper, draw round the foot and measure from heel to longest toe. Add half a centimetre to one centimetre of room to that figure.

If a measurement falls between two sizes, take the larger one.

Worth knowing

Small differences between brands are possible. Every product description states its specific size and age.

When choosing winter clothing, allow for thicker layers underneath.
